As once again the " LUG Family" illustrates it cares about their own. The best part of the interview for me was not about my career. But about giving credit to my wife who started my mad mad world of picture taking. Then had to suffer with a husband who became enamoured with photography to the extent she raised a family of 4 children while trying to keep herself sane coping with a world travelling photographer husband more interested in assignments than family life in general. Obviously when one looks back at all the supposed excitement of the many photo moments, one should consider the great number of "family growing-up" moments that were lost! :-( If I were to live it over again no matter how exciting it all was, those lost family growing-up moments would be filled with big hugs and kisses of congratulations in their daily lives right there when they happened! Rather than trying to be in the right place, at the right time, for the right picture! And of course to be their for my wife when she needed another pair of hands and a hug! Yep lots of thrilling moments in that career, but arriving home and not having the last born child know who you are is devastating to say the least! Yep being a world travelling photojournalist can be as addictive as drugs. However, one should never forget it isn't everything, but wonderful when tempered with intelligence. Once again thank you for the kind words. ted tedgrantphoto.com tedgrant@shaw.ca Ted Grant Photography Limited 1817 Feltham Road Victoria BC V8N 2A4 250-477-2156 ----- Original Message ----- From: "Brian Reid" <reid@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us> To: "Leica Users Group" <lug@leica-users.org> Sent: Sunday, February 25, 2007 8:44 AM Subject: Re: [Leica] Leica photographer. ; -) " With wife's gift, he got the picture" > Great article. > Required reading for everyone to remain a LUGger in good standing... > > > _______________________________________________ > Leica Users Group. > See http://leica-users.org/mailman/listinfo/lug for more information > > > -- > No virus found in this incoming message. > Checked by AVG Free Edition. > Version: 7.1.412 / Virus Database: 268.18.3/700 - Release Date: 24/02/2007 > >
