Dan,

I'm pretty sure the camera is a M6 Classic. It has the small shutter  
speed dial putting it prior to the M6TTL. And the 45 deg rewind  
putting it M4 and later. But the M4 had a funny knurled shutter dial.  
They also covered the Red dot, making it look like a 4th window where  
all Leica M's have 3.
