Subject: [Leica] Best flash for M8?

B.D., I don't appreciate being labelled as one who is
"worrying about the 'film-vs.-digital' issue". Please either substantiate
this accusation or keep your planting emotions in others' words to yourself.

If you cannot substantiate such accusations then don't make them.

Doug, there are people using film, and people using digital. There are also
people who recognize the foolishness of calling the flash system for digital
a "work around," and who recognize that that kind of thinking is based on
the belief that real photography=film - whether or not one has sprung for a
DMR - and anything else is a "work around." Film is film; digital is
digital. There is high speed, add-on lighting designed to work with the
requirements of film, and high speed, add-on lighting designed to work with
the requirements of digital. Designers of things digital no more have to
"work around" issues related to the sensor, than designers of things film
had to "work around" the slit of the focal plane shutter, or the particular
sensitivities of film - they designed FOR them.
