Hi Ric, I'll go along with that anytime as long as I have a reason to take 
pictures.

Some people don't understand when I'm told to "go out and take pictures for 
something to do." It's quite meaningless and depressing to go out and take 
some pictures without a reason or end product in mind!

Quite frankly after a 56 year career assigned to shooting the world in 
action, going out to look for pictures is about as exciting as being snowed 
on in July! :-(  Heck that would be exciting and quite probably create 
interesting pictures. Yes some days it works, other days I don't care 
whether I ever see a camera again.

My biggest moments of photographic enjoyment these days has been 
photographing my grandson playing baseball or basketball.... and that's a 
very big reason to take pictures with exciting results.  Particularly when I 
make prints of other players in action giving them to the parent or player 
at the next game. Great enjoyment derived from such a small action.

Some days when it's all quiet I dig out a Leica and go for a walk about and 
the magic happens as I begin to feel like it's supposed to be.... "the most 
exciting profession in the world!"  Yep shooting is far better than talking 
, that is unless you are passing on years of experience to make the lives of 
other photographers better in their picture taking.
