I live in a place which provides plenty of opportunity for humidity but less so for real cold temperature--it rarely gets much below freezing here. I would imagine the main issue would be that at some point the battery would give up, but I assume it would have to be seriously cold for that to happen. Perhaps I will have a chance to test cold-weather performance when I am in Poland the next couple of weeks--2 years ago it did get down to about -18C (0F) there, and the battery on my Leica M6 stopped working.
