Subject: [Leica] Cold and dreary weekend in Berlin

I can attest to the anti-Fascist propaganda in the bad old days. I 
started school in the socialist brother country Poland in 1967. From the 
very beginning we were taught in school about the "good" Germans, the 
ones in the DDR, and the bad ones in West Germany. I remember when I was 
in 2nd or 3rd grade, my father went to France to visit some relatives; 
he travelled by train, and I was warning him to be careful when passing 
through West Germany so that the Nazis would not get him. And this 
despite the fact that in our family listening to Radio Free Europe was a 
nightly ritual.
