What I mind was on the sense that if I decide one day to buy or trade my M6 for a M7 or a R3A, maybe I would choose one of the extreme options: M7 or R3A, if I choose the middle way I'll be neither with the advantages or inconvenient of both systems. Beside this I understand that Karen was meaning on the cost sense. Well, I realize that "Political correctness" is probably only a very Spanish sentence, probably Luis Casta?eda and Feli could explain better than me the sense of this sentence, it means in our Country a sense of the common thoughts accepted by the people. I hope that's clear, and I insist, particularly to Karen with my apologizes if somebody think that I was offensive, not at all! Cheers and Saludos desde Barcelona Luis -----Mensaje original----- De: lug-bounces+luisripoll=telefonica.net@leica-users.org [mailto:lug-bounces+luisripoll=telefonica.net@leica-users.org]En nombre de Bill Marshall Enviado el: martes, 04 de enero de 2005 1:09 Para: lug@leica-users.org Asunto: [Leica] BESSA r3a OR M7 Luis, Karen's suggestion that you "split the difference" referred to cost. It is not half way in terms of functionality. In fact, with the ZI option you lose no functionality whatsoever as you do with the option of the R3A (no 28 or 35 mm framelines & shorter base length). If you weren't looking for a cheaper solution, why consider the R3A at all? I thought that Karen's proposal was rather an elegant solution: i.e. don't go so far in cutting costs & thereby lose features; only go half as far in cutting costs & lose no features. I have no idea what this has to do with "political correctness." Cheers, Bill _______________________________________________ Leica Users Group.
