One of the things is also to turn on the paper white in photoshop when prepering for offset printing - otherwise you will be disapointed. ( I also get proof prints before goin to print but thats another story) I usuallu do not have a problem with printing to my desktop HP inkjet printer but again my work is more directed to books than to "photo" printing. Still not English for your mother - but i think your are right on the work flow you describe ! all the best Ruben ----- Original Message ----- From: "Daniel Ridings" <daniel.ridings@edd.uio.no> To: "Leica Users Group" <lug@leica-users.org> Sent: Wednesday, December 01, 2004 9:49 AM Subject: Re: [Leica] CM working space for B/W >> Anyway one Gamma is for mac and one for pc - I use a CM profile from my >> printer - as soon as I turn it on the pictures really looks like Sh... >> this helps me optimize them so they look good when printed but on other >> screens not using the CM profile they will look to saturated. > > Ruben, can't you just "Print with preview ..." turning on the printer > profile there (and turning off color management in the printer, letting PS > do all of that) and only edit using your working space? > > Man ... if my mother read the above she'd really think I've lost it over > here.
