I've seen the Panasonic advertised for $799 and the Leica for $899. All of the features are the same except for the software included (Panasonic has something I've never heard of, Leica has Adobe Photoshop Elements), the size of the SD card that comes with it (Panasonic is 32 MB and Leica is 64 MB), and the outer shell is a different shape. The differing features are enough to make up the difference in price.
