Ray,

As other have said, with matrix metering you really don't know what you are
measuring, you are at complete mercy of the electronics. I do not think I
have ever used this mode on my R8, other than on the very first roll of
slide film shot for testing purposes. Today I always use the spot mode.
Center-weighted is OK, but spot is best.
