They were 55ms, 64ms, 105ms respectively. I can see now why the 1n is still considered Canon's top pro level camera. I think the Eos 1N RS is a mere 8ms because of the lack of a moving mirror. These figures do not take into account the autofocus speed, but it doesn't matter how fast it focuses if you loose the decisive moment in a sporting event because of a long lag between pressing the shutter and having the picture taken. In this respect , the A2E is almost twice as slow as the 1N. I looked in my R8 manual and the Leica book and could not find this figure published for any of their cameras. I have found the R8 to be pretty quick, but was interested in how it compares. I also notice I can preload the R8 shutter release similiar to how you can on a mecanical release so that must of the trave is taken up and just a slight bit more pressure fires it. This seems better than on the previous R cameras. Anybody have the lag time numbers? Regards, Robert
