Donal,

I have a gortex hat kinda along the Tilley style...got ribbed
unmercifully when I wore it at the Masters on a rainy day...but the wide
brim keeps the water off face and viewfinder and allows for loading of
camera in rain with out getting back wet....quite useful. It is an
Outdoor Research brand hat and is very usefull on rainy days and who
cares what ya look like, heck we are photographers and most assuem we
aint quite right in the head anyway!!
