On Friday, I cooked what BBC has labelled the “original curry”, a result of an archeological excavation in India. It is kind of cool to cook a recipe from 4000 years ago. And it tastes delicious and is vegan:

Today, we were invited for a lunch of arroz meloso (a kind of paella but with more liquid than the touristy stuff you get when you go into a generic Spanish restaurant). Our contribution was my wife’s American cheesecake, which is always a big hit:
