Thanks Don.I looked at the Sony RX1RII which would appear to have a lot 
of what I want, and I'm very familiar with its operation and menus from 
my A7ll, but the RX1RII is over eight years on the market and battery 
life is very poor. That said, there aren't many used examples available 
either and they seem to go for prices comparable or significantly more 
to a new - if you could get one - X100Vl.

Of course, as this also might be a big year for new cameras, and who 
knows what new whizzbang offering might emerge in the next six months or 
so. Equally, time and tide wait for no man, so I might just bite the 
bullet and put down a deposit on a Fuji anyway. I also see scalpers who 
have got the new Fuji are charging double the price on the net.
