We have fiber optic cables on our poles, which are shared by AT&T and
the local power company.? When fiber splices are required, a splice lab
on wheels is brought in and the splicing is done on the ground.? When it
is finished, the extra loop of cable is tied off along the cable run.?
If you look at fiber distribution lines, you will frequently see these
large-radius bends scattered along the system.
