My first Leica was a black chrome M4-P, external meter and a 50mm Summicron.
I earned the money from a Chamber of Commerce award for best new business
in my home town when I opened up a new optometric practice in 1980. My wife
wasn?t surprised at all that I spent the money on my family?s first Leica
(and we?re still married). I later sold the body for an M6 which I still
have.

Be well,
Richard
