Thank you, Philippe. That article was near the limit of my ability to 
read precise French and be confident I am understanding it correctly. 
Oddly, I didn't need to look up any words. I guess some vocabulary is 
similar across languages.

The description of Italy's strategy mistake reminded me of the 
difference between a sprint runner and a distance runner. Italy 
sprinted, and used up its reserves too soon.

I know well one of the senior doctors in emergency care at the biggest 
hospital in my county. He said that they had made a plan to avoid 
repeating Italy's blunder. He is French, so I sent it on to him.
