If I was invested in a Sony system, I don't think I'd make the jump. Sony
is a fine system, though I don't think its lenses are at the same level as
Leica SL lenses. However, the SL system natively only goes to 280mm, and
that's Doug's "wide" lens.

However, its viewfinder is amazing. I thought I was in 7th heaven with SL,
but SL2 kicks it up a notch. The same display panel is used in other
cameras but the optical system may or may not be the same. The focus peak
feature is better than SL, too, with both the native lens or adapted M- and
R- lenses.

I could have saved a few thousand dollars and get similar quality images
with the Panasonic S1R. However, I've found its user interface to be a
nightmare, which is also my view of the Sony system. Also, the ease with
which I can use legacy lenses is great with the SL2, though I'd suspect
that the Panasonic body too would recognize coded M-lenses with a Leica
adapter.

I also like the fact that the same battery can be used for SL, SL2 and Q2.
