If you come to La Louisiane, in the South you'll find many French speakers,
though it may seem you are conversing with your grandparents as the
language is archaic.

In the South, most French are Acadian, (Cajun). In my part, our forebears
were colonial French, back to the early 17oo's, so we all speak English
now.
You would enjoy French Louisiana, but I would suspect you would like it
better a little later than February as it can be dreary here then.

Regards,

Sonny
