Now that's slightly below the belt, Philippe :-) While Wild Turkey isn't
wild enough for me, I'll put up with its mild blend and good manners,
however it lacks complexity, but I'm married to an Irish woman, so, if
some kind person sends me a case of it, maybe I'll drink it as I've
probably more than enough complexity in my life...

These days, I'm having to survive on wine - good Bordeaux, your
patriotic tricolore heart will be glad to hear. In fact, on Sunday, I
took my burgeoning head cold along to my wine society's annual tasting
in which we analyse which of our wines are ripe for serving at our 2020
dinners. Despite the delights of a couple of different Oliviers, Latour
Martillac, Pape Clement, Tour de Vignot, Beausejour, Clos Puy Arnaud,
Lanessan, Talbot, Bon Pasteur, Leoville Barton, Lynch Bages, Leoville
Las Cases, Cos d'Estournel, and a couple of Sauternes - De Malle, and
Lafaurie Peyreguay, my head cold didn't improve, nor funnily enough did
my head feel any better the following morning: it might have been
something I drank - probably that glass of Milens '09 that I had while I
was waiting for the start of the tasting :-)

Douglas
Waiting for The Donald's tariffs and the fall off in Bordeaux demand in
the states - more for me!
For Sale Friday - Pair of experienced kidneys, 69 years on the clock,
one Leica owner who thinks he's careful with them. Will swap for pair
from any novice nun aged under 25.
