Richard, I believe that the Chinese government is exceptionally well
informed.  Events like Tiananmen can be forgiven once.  Were the Chinese
government to have mass shootings of it's citizens there would be no hope
for further growth of the Chinese middle class.  You would see wholesale
departures of companies and technology transfers, no 1st or 2nd world
government want top associate with another Hitler/Stalin like government.
So I see measured force to quell the violence and behind the scenes
"disappearances" but no tanks in the streets.
