The Nikon LS5000 with the bulk loader can scan all of my Kodachromes quickly and it has. I have thousands of scans made with the LS5000 in my files. I'm now trying to work on them. I'm finding lots of blooming highlights that ruin the scan. Less than perfect color balance. I'm not sure if the blooming on the highlights is due to the scanner needing cleaning or not, but I've had it cleaned and cleaned it myself several times. I was very skeptical about the value of digital scans but I have changed my mind and think that is probably the way to go.
