I hefted out my old Pentacon 300/5.6 M42, fitted it to the Sony A7ii, and aimed it at the beech hedge where some small garden birds nest. However, even with 300mm they appeared like specs - and blurry ones at that. Nothing avian ventures near the house as there's a murderous cat that considers anything with feathers fair game...
