Subject: [Leica] Thoughts on hanging photos

In a lot of photo shows I've seen in NY the photographer is not around when
the show gets hung and never is in town to see it. Not there for the
opening.  There is some trust involved that the gallery people know how to
do their gallery jobs. Like hanging the pictures.

 It would occur to few of their artists to argue with them but they may have
some say in the matter especially if they are anywhere around when the
hanging takes place..  Most hang in the straight like all their others shows
had been hung. Now and then only in the past few years you'll now see them
with prints in little groupings; a thing we used to abhor for decades but it
turns out to be not that bad.
