Why? Because it has some ?je ne sais quoi? to it?tonality, magic, whatever. And there is a distinct pleasure in shooting my Leica M2 with period lenses like the 50mm Summilux from the 1960s or the 90mm Tele-Elmarit that still deliver such superb images. It may not be wholly rational, but nobody is paying me to take pictures?I have a good day job which provides me with a decent living?so I can take pictures in whatever way pleases me. I am going to spend a day with Lluis in his summer home, Sitges, about 30 km south of Barcelona. The plan is to walk around with him, and hopefully use his invisibilty cloak and his charm to get some decent shots of my own. I plan to shoot mainly film?I will take a digital camera with me to supplement the M2, but most likely it will be just the Ricoh GR or perhaps the Fuji X-T1 with just one lens, the tiny but superb 27mm.
