You will not be doing the 2016 LUG book! :-( Here's how you handle this situation? It's called "KISS!" When your hard working sharp eyed efforts into producing a book the majority have seen it in a very positive scene and basically want the 2016 year book assembled in the same fashion/style? KISS becomes "KEEP IT SIMPLE SWEET HEART!" LIKE THAT'S YOU MY GOOD FRIEND! Why because majority rules by the masses!! If you have but "ONE DUMB ASS GRUMP?" KISS becomes ????????? KISS MY BUTT!" AND IF THE COMPLAINING body DOESN'T LIKE IT? BUT THE MAJORITY DO?' He can go some place else for 2016! See? "KEEP IT SIMPLE SWEETHEART!' CHEERS for you and your good wife's wonderfully creative efforts for 2015! A CHAMPION EFFORT WITHOUT QUESTION!! :-) ALL THE BEST AND PLEASE COME BACK FOR 2016! cheers, Dr. ted OC -----Original Message----- From: LUG [mailto:lug-bounces+tedgrant=shaw.ca at leica-users.org] On Behalf Of Richard Man Sent: January-17-16 4:28 PM To: Leica Users Group Subject: [Leica] LUG Yearbook 2015 aftermath By now, a number of you have received your LUG Yearbook and some of you are just buying them right now. Once Blurb book pays me, I will forward the proceed to the Second Harvest Food Bank I have received numerous kudos on and off the list. Thank you for your kind comments. They are appreciated. Today I have received the first disappointment about the pairing effort. The person does not like what they see (presumably from the Blurb preview). If one person sees a problem, chances are there are at least another person, may be 2-3 more, that are likewise disappointed. While I understand that "can't please everyone" I consider this as a failure in this experiment. Therefore I will not be handling the 2016 LUG Book. I do recommend that future volunteer should use InDesign as it is a far more flexible tool but of course it will be up to the personYear.
