I always had Nikon and Leica systems running side by side, and I used
whichever lens I personally liked better. In this case, I preferred
the Nikon 24mm. As soon as AF zooms covering 24/28mm were released, I
used them. My preference has always been for normal to short
telephotos, anyway, for general use, so a 24mm focal length was less
critical as far as I was concerned. I have always relied on my own
preferences in these matters, and less on others perceptions and
published reviews. Nowadays, I never ever buy a lens without trying it
out first. Luckily for me, both my Nikon dealers here, and Fujifilm
India, loan demos to me to try out before deciding on a purchase, so
that suits me quite well.
Cheers
