Just out of idle curiosity, or maybe not, I'd like to know if it's possible

The internet wayback machine is your friend:

Has the Nocti been formally compared to the new APO-Summicron in terms of

I've tested all 3...

The 0.95 Nocti is slightly better corrected and has more resolution stopped
down than the Summilux asph. The APO-Summicron is better again in these
regards. What I noticed with the MM, however, is that the tonality gets
worse along with the other factors improving and that the files need more
work to make them look how I'd like them to look. It's something of a
quandry, because the the lenses whose native tonality I like best have lots
of focus shift and tend to greatly under-resolve the sensor at the edges at
low ISO. But it does mean that I can use ISO5000 on the MM with an nd
filter one the f1 Nocti or 75 Summilux in daylight.
