Steve... You use the M in B+W only, right?

Bob... You capture in color?

In color, it is significantly more difficult ( Fuji, probably also true in
Leica) to see focus peaking, especially in the silver color I get as my only
choice.....
\In B+W, with a red Focus peaking indicator, it would be relatively
trivial......

let me see if I can speak to this now.been thinking about it on & off for
hours.

can you see "the eyes get peaked" without the EVF, if so how ?

if this is a necessity, how do you do it without the EVF?
