Leica Camera have a model with near field communication and an EVF now if
that's what you need ;-)

The Digilux 3 was not a success in the market for Leica Camera else they
could still be selling them ;-)
Panasonic are pursuing their own priorities of course (and I just bought
one as a spare while my M is in repair)

Alfred Schopf just restated what has been said several times, that Leica
Camera will not be developing any new camera based on the micro four thirds
sensor.
