That's a scratch on the emulsion side of the negative. The matte inner side
not outer shiney side. The obvious culprit is the holder so make sure you're
loading it right. You might want to still run a roll of C41 color neg to
make sure its not in the developing.. Check the roll holder and make sure
there's not something in there making the scratch. Use a bright light and a
magnifier.
You want to take an old roll and run it through and look it the base side
and see the scratch before you run the film. Look in the holder for the spot
where the scratch is coming from. Maybe you can see what's making it.
