Bill and Lew if you do not want the camera to warn you about unreliable
battery power levels,  just don't upgrade.
If you have never had a problem there is no benefit to upgrading (there is
no advertised image quality change). It is only about trying to prevent
write problems. As far as I can tell most people (including me) never saw
that problem anyway.
I have not seen a single report thus far since official release of earlier
shutdown actually for whatever that's worth.
If you do load the new firmware and wish to downgrade you can do so. You
just to run the setup from the current UPD (1.176) file again.
