It is, as always, all about the cash.

If you want the Olympics you have to agree to a set of truly outrageous 
conditions set by the "international" Olympic committee who are a bunch of 
greedy, selfish, ruthless people who make every condition they can think of 
to keep -all- the money for themselves. It is a very effective low effort 
money fountain for them.

The promotors of plenty of sports do this nowadays, but none as blatant as 
the Olympic bloodsuckers.

I think most of these conditions are not new to this particular Olympics.

Apparently the country is split fairly evenly between those pleased to have 
the Olympic Games here, and those against.
I am in the latter group - complete waste of money, particularly is the 
worst recession for since the depression.
