Other places for free wifi in NYC would be
http://www.openwifinyc.com/classic/index.php
Whole foods most of them.
Barnes and noble most of them. My main hangouts.
WALDORF ASTORIA I assume lobby.
The entire Battery Park financial district. The sidewalks are paved with
gold.
Penn station waiting room.
THINK COFFEE Greenwich village one of my favorite places.
Any library branch.
McDonald's

Its getting to be everywhere you look.
I leave my laptop at home most the times so it doesn't really affect me.

Oh almost forgot
Everyone's got a laptop at the
Hungarian pastry shop. Across from st. john the divine.
