Even though its a Nikon the 800 vs. 800E has the eye of many key people in this Leica List. And has the eye of the entire photographic industry turned upon it. It will probably be my next camera. And the word is out as if no anti-aliasing filter and another kind of optical assembly instead might really make a definitive difference in a DSLR camera for 300 more bucks. If it does and I think it will I'll be using that camera in 2013 probably right through 2016. And plenty of other people on this list; and a lot of other lists. There is a thought that the art of lens design becomes meaningless if you're just going to put it through a lowest common denominator by dumbing it down with an anti-aliasing filter. A reason why Leica left them out in the digital M's. Here we have it done interestingly different but with a DSLR and in a camera many more of us can afford. Its big news to some. To others they'd rather watch football on TV. - - from my iRabs.
