I couldn't help but recall the "Good Old Days" when Karl Heitz distributed
Gitzo tripods and each tripod had a sticker that proclaimed "Guaranteed for
Life and Reincarnations". Karl was quite a gentleman and usually showed up
at camera stores with his tripods and one or two attractive female
assistants. The tripods are still great, but I am sure the warranty is not
so generous.
