James,

The 123A batteries are very cheap on the internet -- well under a dollar 
apiece.   And used F6's now go for $1000-1200.   The two features I like 
best about it are the imprinting of data between the frames (shutter speed, 
aperture, and the exact focal length set, even with a zoom), and the very 
quiet and solid sound of the shutter.   The size and weight of it seem to be 
ideal for my hands and I get steadier pictures with it than I get with any 
other camera.   The autofocus also seems to be extremely accurate.
