Hi George,

I've also lost mailboxes over the years, at least three that I can recall,
two to intoxicated drivers and one to the modern garbage truck that lifts
and dumps curb-side containers. The driver accidently hit the lift switch
as he neared my mailbox, and the lift arm extended and took out the box. I
saw him in the area, called a patrol car, and they brought him back to admit
he did it. The city Public Works Dept. replaced the box for me.
