I use Lightroom and it works a treat. I have been a big fan of it since it 
first came out. It is the first piece of software that does everything I 
need  to do with my photos:

- "develop" the RAW file
- edit the photos using the adjustments I am interested in: levels, 
contrast, sharpness, cropping, B&W conversion
- organize the photos
- output the photos, whether to a web gallery or a print.

I think Aperture does more or less the same things but have never tried it.
