That was a good column by Mike Johnston, but as usual, he is far too level
headed for most people's tastes!(-:

I am afraid that I generally buy equipment based on points 1 & 2, with the
result that there is way too much stuff floating around at home. I have now
started giving away my old digital equipment to nephews, nieces and
deserving youngsters instead of selling them for peanuts - I just have one
Nikon D70 left to give away. In the digital age, I have realized that lenses
are semi permanent acquisitions, and camera bodies are disposables.
