Vick,

It is actually slightly lighter than a Nikon D3S.  However the size is about 
the same.

Yeah, this was all an experiment.

I knew from owning an SL2 that Leica R was pretty hefty.  But the DMR/R9 
set is a bit over the top for me.

I never went the Canon nor Nikon DSLR route, and after reading about the 
incompatibilities, don't really want to.
