Subject: [Leica] the Rabiner for 14 bucks

That's my grandfather Dr. Abraham M. Rabiner an eminent neurologist who
invented the Rabiner Hammer which they hit you on the knee with to test your
reflex during a typical medical exam. Though there are a few others to
choose from by now.

It was a modification of Babinski of France's hammer in which you could take
off the round head and attach it two ways.
During a typically staid neurological medical meeting in Vienna in 1920
they had it out on the floor in a humorous story that is all over the
medical internet. Its rare these meetings get anywhere near that level of
excitement.

When I was a kid whenever I had a cough or anything my grandfather got out
his hammer out of his top pocket. Tested a number of my reflexes. Most kids
don't get that.
