Subject: [Leica] To those that repair, is naptha (lighter fluid) the same as electronics cleaning solvent?

Depends on whether it has additives, Zippo lighter 
fuel, for example, is quite aggressive and can melt 
plastics.

I believe alcohol-based solvents are better as they 
also pick up and dissolve any moisture present and 
don't leave any residues.
