Subject: [Leica] Comparison M9, R9

Mark,

The M9 may have a newer and better sensor, also the M8, however, the
firmware written for them is not up to the standard written for the DMR by
Imacon. As Doug has said many times it is almost Kodachrome in its color
space and also dynamic range. The M8/9 firmware is just not up to the same
standard, imho.

Cheers,
Gene

If your picking a cropped file from a 5 year old sensor over results from a
just out current full frame M9 with a 90 Summicron there is something wrong
with the processing of the files. Or your eyes. Or both.
Also something very basically wrong with the universe.

It's like that Wolfgang Pauli guy says:
"Not only is it not right, it's not even wrong!"
Das ist nicht nur nicht richtig, es ist nicht einmal falsch!

And in the movie "Rocky" 1976
Paulie: I want you outta here instamatically.
