I'm very happy reading books this way. I just re-read Huckleberry Finn and have Thorstein Veblen's "Theory of the Leisure Class" loaded up on the Wattpad reader app. Like George, I'm interested in some of the classics that I never got around to reading, and they are free for the most part. I have all of Homer on the Touch, along with Dante, and Darwin's "Origin." I also DL the free sample intro portions of books from Kindle to get a taste before buying. But I find reading magazines on the Touch a little challenging. The text articles are fine, but the sense of visual layout is missing. Not so on the iPad, however -- reading a newspaper or magazine on that gadget is kind of exhilarating visually, as you can swipe text aside and dash off to the next article with a finger tap, and the screen is large enough to enjoy without squinting. I'm sure I'll be getting one soon, along with the iPhone 4. -- Phil Swango 307 Aliso Dr SE Albuquerque, NM 87108 505-262-4085
