I think that's probably an inevitable fear at any time. I remember being 
terrified and mystified at the color darkroom experience. wanted nothing to 
do with it. But the changing dynamics of who has what today made me run to 
Twitter last night before anything else looking for video of the Brooklyn 
tornado, figuring the crowd source would come up with it before the major 
news media outlets (and it looks like the news media got hoodwinked.) In the 
days where nearly everyone has a video camera with the, and they've taken 
Slobodon's photography course there are opportunities in news gathering that 
didn't exist before video. Not all of this is good, but the cat's out of the 
bag and we need to figure out how to deal with it. And by "we" I'm meaning 
the loose "we" of the lug who I consider to some extent old news people, or 
at the very least, people who understand what Walter Cronkite did....
