Subject: [Leica] Camera Phone Wars in Los Angeles! (you don't stand achance)

Along these lines in Canada, news photographers working for a newspapers on
staff or freelancers wishing to shoot for the paper or news service must
have cameras .... their everyday gear, capable of shooting video and
stills.... "OR you don't have a job!"
Cell phone equipment they can immediately transmit as they are shooting the
images! And the changing gear demands are driving some of these young guys
into the poor house having to keep up with the changes.
On one hand I'm glad I've put my 60 years in without having to cope with all
this new fangled gear. However, if I were a young lad again enjoying my
wonderful career I'd have the best of the best in equipment just to be able
to kick ass and not get beaten on a news assignment. Damn the good old days
were great! :-)
