I see at least four old friends in those pictures.  One of my faves was the
wooden legs, I think a Miller?  I had that same one with a Miller fluid head
as a production tripod for my Cinema Products CP16Reflex.

Earlier, when I shot news film, we used tilt-alls with Miller heads epoxied
on them to handle the Auricon film cameras.  The tripods had about a three
year life in that application, but they made it possible to support a heavy
camera, and run with it when you had to.

Love the collection.  Wish I had room to keep a herd.

I only have two tripods now, a Bromwell wooden with a Manfrotto 3D  Head,
and a Leitz tabletop .
