Yes, there are two issues:

- Leica has 2 DNG format, compressed or uncompressed. There is a thread
somewhere that *claims* compressed in fact give better dynamic range? I'm
not sure how that can be, without going through the reasoning carefully. I
personally just use uncompressed, unless my card is getting full and I don't
have a spare one....

- LR can either leave the files as is in Leica DNG or convert to Adobe DNG.
It does kind of defeat the claim of "Digital Negative" when Leica DNG may
not be fully the same as Adobe DNG? Personally, I don't buy the Adobe DNG is
superior to other RAW argument so I just leave it as Leica DNG. It's much
faster anyway. When I am importing other RAW format (e.g. E-3 Olympus ORF),
I do now convert it to DNG.
