Subject: [Leica] Film/slide scanner recommendations? Samples? Anyone use Braun?

 From what I understand, the other major difference between the Scan  
Elite 5400 and the 5400 II is that the former uses a neon light source  
and is much kinder on B&W negatives, in other words, dust and  
scratches would appear less with the 1st model. Can anyone confirm this?
